Pel Terms

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Who we are

Pel is a shared pixel canvas on Solana, plus a few things built around it. It's made and run by a small team (the "Pel team", "we"). Questions, reports or problems: use the report button, or ask in global chat.

By using pel.live you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Pel.

Who can use Pel

Your wallet is your account

You sign in by connecting a Solana wallet and signing a message. Your wallet address is your account and your username sticks with it (you can change it later with a paid rename).

We will never ask for your seed phrase or private key. Anyone who does is not us. If you lose access to your wallet, we can't get it back for you.

One person, one account. Running several accounts to farm rewards or dodge a ban isn't allowed.

What Pel is

Pel is early and changes a lot. We can add, change, pause or remove features, prices, items, seasons and rewards whenever we need to.

Money

USDC for now. Everything is priced and paid in USDC on Solana until the $PEL token launches. If it does, prices, balances and rewards may move over to $PEL, and we'll say how before it happens.

Your Pel balance. You can deposit to and withdraw from a balance on Pel. While money is in your balance, we're holding it in the Pel treasury wallet for you. It's not a bank account: no interest, no insurance.

Withdrawals go to the wallet you're signed in with. Every withdrawal goes through automatic safety checks first, and if something looks off (a bug, a mismatch in the books, suspected fraud or a hack) it can be held for review, or withdrawals can be paused for everyone until it's sorted. A withdrawal that fails goes back to your balance.

Purchases are final. Items have no cash value and can't be cashed out or traded back. If you pay for something we then can't deliver (the ad block sold to someone else a second before you, a video that won't play, that kind of thing), the money goes back to your Pel balance automatically.

Where the money goes. Pel doesn't keep a cut. Purchases are split 50% burned, 30% to the faucet wallet and 20% to the rewards wallet, all on-chain and visible on the Token tab. NFT fees are different: they're 100% burned (see "NFTs").

Defusing a nuke. While a nuke counts down, anyone can chip in to defuse it. If the defuse fills up in time, the nuke is stopped and the money is split like a purchase (above). If it doesn't fill up in time, or the nuke is called off, everything chipped in goes back to your Pel balance.

Tips and Watch Together payments go to other players, not to us, and can't be undone.

Mistakes happen. If a bug credits you something you shouldn't have, we can take it back.

Blockchain transactions are permanent. Double-check before you sign. Network fees are part of using Solana.

Rewards

The faucet, Watch Together earnings and any airdrops or prizes are bonuses, not promises.

NFTs

Only your own art. Draw it yourself in the Create tab. Don't copy characters, logos, brands, other people's art or real people's faces, and keep it within the fair-play rules below. By submitting a drawing you're telling us it's yours to mint.

Checked first. Every drawing, name, description and collection is checked (automatically and/or by a moderator) before it can be minted. We can turn anything down without giving more of a reason than the check gave.

Minting. Minting a piece, or creating a collection, burns a fee from your wallet, shown before you sign. The whole fee is burned; Pel keeps nothing and takes no royalty. You also pay the normal Solana network costs. If a mint doesn't go through, nothing is burned. Burned tokens are gone for good.

It's yours. A minted NFT lives in your wallet as a standard Solana NFT, with its picture and details stored permanently on Arweave. You can keep it, send it or sell it wherever you like. Your collections belong to your wallet too. You keep the rights to your art; you let us show, store and copy it on Pel and to promote Pel, as with everything else you put here (see "Your stuff").

Drops. An artist can run a drop from one of their collections: other players mint a random piece, paying the artist the price the artist set (in SOL, straight to the artist's wallet) and burning a small fee. Pel takes nothing from it. The artist decides the price, how many pieces, the start and end times and any per-wallet limit, and is responsible for what they sell; Pel only runs the drop. A mint that doesn't go through takes nothing. Launching a drop burns a small fee and sets aside a little SOL for the drop's storage on Solana and its network fees, paid by the artist; whatever isn't used goes back to the artist when the drop ends. We can stop a drop that breaks the rules; pieces already minted stay with their owners.

Royalties are the share you pick (0–10%) for later sales. Marketplaces decide whether to pay them; we can't make them.

What we can and can't change. Nothing on the blockchain or Arweave can be edited or deleted, by us or anyone. If a piece or collection breaks the rules, we can hide it from Pel (the gallery, profiles, everywhere on pel.live) and act against the account, but it stays in the owner's wallet. No refunds for hidden pieces.

"Made on pel.live" marks pieces whose creation Pel signed. It isn't a promise about who drew it, what it's worth, or that it will stay on any marketplace.

Profile pictures. You can show a Pel-made NFT you hold as your picture. We check it's in your wallet when you pick it and about once a day after; if it's gone, the picture comes off.

Not an investment. NFTs here are art and collectibles. We don't promise they'll be worth anything, sell, or keep showing on any marketplace.

$PEL: not financial advice

Nothing on Pel is investment advice or an offer to sell you anything as an investment. Any $PEL numbers shown (price, supply, market cap) are for information only and may be placeholders. $PEL hasn't launched and might never launch, list anywhere, or be worth anything. Crypto is risky and volatile. Only spend what you're happy to lose.

Your stuff

Your pixels, chat messages, GIFs, username, clan names, ads, queued videos, drawings and NFT art are yours. By putting them on Pel, you let us show, store, copy and share them to run and promote Pel, for as long as Pel exists. The canvas is made by everyone together, so this covers the finished canvases, timelapses, the season gallery and preview images.

Pixels get painted over, finished seasons are frozen, and public chat is public. Only post what you're OK with everyone seeing.

Fair play

Don't:

What we can do about it

We can remove content, mute you, stop you placing pixels, cut you off from rewards, take back rewards you shouldn't have, hold a withdrawal for review, or ban you, at our discretion and without warning when needed. If we close an account that didn't break the rules, you can still withdraw your balance.

Use the report buttons to report something.

Other services

Pel runs on other people's tech: the Solana network, your wallet app, YouTube for Watch Together, a GIF provider, Arweave for NFT pictures, NFT marketplaces, and our hosting providers. Their own terms apply when you use them (watching in Watch Together means following YouTube's terms), and if they break or change, parts of Pel might too. We're not responsible for them.

No warranty

Pel is provided as is. It's a small project and it will have bugs, downtime and surprises. Wallets, networks and websites can fail or be hacked, and money held in our wallets could be lost if that happens. We don't promise Pel will always work, stay online, or that anything on it is accurate.

Limit of liability

As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or knock-on losses, lost profits, lost data or lost crypto from using Pel. If we are liable for something, the most we'll owe is the greater of what you paid us in the 30 days before the problem, or USD $100.

If your use of Pel gets us into trouble (your content, breaking these terms, or breaking the law), you'll cover the cost.

Changes

We'll update these terms as Pel changes and bump the date at the top. For big changes we'll put a notice on the site. Keep using Pel after that and you're agreeing to the new version.

Disputes

If we ever have a disagreement about Pel or these terms that we can't sort out by talking, it goes to binding arbitration, not court. It's handled by the American Arbitration Association under its commercial rules, in English, with a single arbitrator.

You and we each give up the right to a jury trial and to bring or join a class action. Claims are brought one person at a time, not as a group. If that class-action part is ever found not to hold up, this whole disputes section falls away with it.
